STOKES, RUTH HEATHERLY - age 79, of LaFollette, passed away Tuesday evening, February 20, 2001, at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She was a member of Coolidge First Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, William T. (Cat) Heatherly; parents, Gillis and Celia Shepherd Brandenburg; sister, Girlie White; brother, Charles Brandenburg and grandson, Richard Celeski. Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Mable and Verlin Bostic of LaFollette, Robbie Sue and Arnold Celeski of Westland, Mich., Wanda and Donald Main, of Westland, Mich., and Magdalene and Richard Craven, of Canton, Mich.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Henderson of LaFollette, Azlee Helton of Clinton, and Ruby McCulley of Baltimore, Maryland. Funeral services 11 a.m. Friday, February 23, at Cross Chapel, Rev. Hobert McCreary officiating. Interment in Sunrise Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Cross Funeral Home. Cross Funeral Home, in charge of arrangements.
