TUCKERSMITH
Death of Mrs. Detot - We learned with regret of the death of Mrs. John Detot, of Comber, the family formerly residing on the farm now occupied by Mr. Taylor, Tuckersmith. She was a woman who was always ready to do a kindness to anyone. She was ill for some time and was taken to Windsor Hospital, where she underwent an operation. A few days afterwards pneumonia set in and she passed peacefully away to the great beyond. She leaves a sorrowing husband and eleven of a family grown up, six sons and 5 daughters: Mrs. Wallace and Mrs. T. Colwell, of Tuckersmith; Mrs. Peterson, of Comber, and Mrs. Holmes, of the West, and one daughter, Miss Ruby, at home. One son, William, of Seaforth; Stanley Detot, of Brucefield, and four sons at Comber, all of whom attended the funeral. Rev. Mr. Barker of Comber, formerly of Seaforth, had charge of the funeral service. The sympathy of many old friends here is extended to the bereaved husband and children.
