HOLMES - Passed away in Vancouver General Hospital, December 19, 1961, Clara Alice Holmes, of 1627 E. 36th Ave., Vancouver, in her 78th year. Predeceased by her husband, Edgar Milton Holmes. Survived by 3 sons, Percy Clifford, Richmond, B.C.; William Nicol, Regina, Sask., and Raymond Milton, Kamloops, B.C.; 4 daughters, Mrs. Sam (Ruby) Smythe and Mrs. Marion Wright, Vancouver; Mrs. William (Vivian) Smith, Ottawa, and Mrs. Gideon (Beatrice) Bitz, N. Surrey; 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters and 3 brothers in Ontario; nieces and nephews, and many friends. Funeral service Friday, December 22, at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Harold Edwards Ltd., 705 W. Broadway. Rev. Dr. J.W. Melvin, D.D., officiating. Interment family plot, Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
