Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 24, 2007, at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott, for May Bower Albarado, 88, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at her residence in Scott.
Interment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Scott. Reverend Gilbert Dutel, Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass. Jodi Bollich, organist and soloist, will sing "Amazing Grace", "23rd Psalm", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "On Eagle's Wings" for the services.
Survivors include two sons, Laodice J. Albarado of Lafayette and Clifford J. Albarado and his wife Isabel of Lafayette; one sister, Laura Bell Thomas of Carencro; one brother, Eric Bower of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Rickey Albarado, Cheryl Aubrey, Jimilly Albarado, Connie Schouest and Ray Albarado; thirteen great grandchildren, Scotland Albarado, Courtney Albarado, Dustin Deville, Ashley Deville, Amber Richard, Shayli Schouest, Jordan Albarado, Jansen Albarado, Jenner Albarado, Jared Albarado, Tyler Albarado, Blake Albarado and Lauren Albarado; and one great great grandchild, Braxton Pinell.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Laodice Albarado; and her parents Gustave and Marie Migues Bower.
A native and resident of Lafayette for her entire life, May Albarado was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Albarado, Ray Albarado, Jimilly Albarado, Jordan Albarado, Dustin Deville and Jared Albarado.
