Born & raised in Richland County. Named after William Howard Taft, but called "Howard" from birth. Moved with his wife to Beloit, WI during The Great Depression. Most of his work history was as a draftsman in the S. Beloit/Rockford, IL area, while residing in Beloit. Children: (Doris) Dawn, Brian Howard, & Larry Kent.
