He was born June 4, 1915, in Masontown, a son of the late Andrew Franklin and Tacy Ine (Deavers) Sisler.
He retired from the Osage 3 Mine Local 4043 in 1979. He was an independent coal operator in Preston County for many years. He served in the Navy during World War II, beginning October 15, 1942, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a lifelong member of the VFW Post in Masontown.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Goldie Mae (Welsh) Sisler; two daughters, Nancy Jane (Sisler) Smith and Debra Kay Sisler, both of Morgantown; a brother, the Rev. Dana Sisler, also of Morgantown; a sister, Mrs. Aldona DeBerry of Masontown; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Russell J. Sisler and Choung Ae Lee Sisler; and an infant daughter, Lana Jo Sisler.
Burial will be in the Gordon Cemetery.
