SOUTH PARIS - Alonzo Hodgdon, 93, died Wednesday night in a Norway hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Buckfield, Oct. 11, 1879, the son of Harrison and Cinderella Damon Hodgdon. He attended schools in Buckfield and for several years owned and operated a farm there. He later was employed at Burnham and Morrill in South Paris retiring 14 years ago. Mr. Hodgdon had been residing in South Paris since 1921 coming from Buckfield. In 1919, he married the former Myrtle Libby of South Paris who survives him. Surviving besides his widow are two sons, Glenwood and Alonzo Jr., both of South Paris; two daughters, Mrs. Lewis Britton South Paris and Mrs. Russell Reiman, Welchville; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In Norway, Oct. 11, 1972, Alonzo Hodgdon, age 93, of South Paris. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 pm at the Huff Funeral Home, 21 Main St. South Paris. Interment will be in Riverside Annex cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home, Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
