Ethel was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on June 19th, 1906, daughter of the late Thomas Maden and Mary Jane Maden. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Ethel was survived by one son, Denton Clell "Bo" Davis; six daughters, Catherins Smith, Mable Elliott, Geraldine Miller, Lucille Phelps, Joyce Loveless, and Shirley Lovins; one sister, Rosa Williams; thirty grandchildren; and many great and great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Jane Maden; her husband, Isaac Davis; two brothers, Doc Maiden and Henry Maiden; and three sisters, Eva, Julie, and Emma.
Visitations were held on Thursday, October 1st, 1998 after 6:00 p.m. at the Somerset Undertaking Company in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held on Friday, October 2nd, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company with Rev. Johnny Dunbar officiating.
Burial followed in the Somerset City Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky.
