She was born July 24, 1927, in Pulaski County, Ky. She was a loving mother and homemaker, loved her children, grandchildren and sewing. She also loved people in general and little children especially.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy (and Goldie) Smith and Clifford Smith, both of Somerset; a daughter, Anna (and Richard) Edwards, Somerset; five sisters, Mabel Elliott, Science Hill, Ky., Shirley Lovins, Indiana, Lucille (and Ronnie) Phelps, Somerset, Joyce (and Harold) Loveless, Somerset and Geraldine Miller, Somerset; nine grandchildren, Michael (Smitty) Smith, Josh Jones, Jason Jones, Jimmy Smith Jr., Jerrica Smith, Christopher Glover, Keisha Lovewell, Lacy Lovewell and Amy Rainey; two great grandchildren, Aspen Nicole Glover and Austin Paul Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville J. Smith, whom she married in 1943 in Somerset; her mother, Ethel Davis; two sons, Paul Edward (Pidge) Smith and Jeffery Dewayne Smith; and a brother, Clinton Davis.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company with Bro. John Bates officiating.
Burial will be in the Somerset Cemetery.
