Paul James Barnes, 87, of Canton, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003. Services will be 2 p.m. today at South Canton Funeral Home, with the Rev. Stan Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Sixes Cemetery.
Mr. Barnes served in the Army during World War II and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Sutton Barnes; three sons, J.W. Barnes, Harvey Barnes and Don Barnes, all of Canton; two daughters, Joan Dunagan of Canton and Sherry Taylor of Houston, Texas; four brothers, Jack Barnes of Woodstock, Bill Barnes of Lithia Springs, Frank Barnes of Ellijay and Clyde Barnes of Marietta; one sister, Montree Booth of Kennesaw; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces.
