Harvey Barnes, age 72, of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Northside Hospital Cherokee.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Sixes Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 31st from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., Saturday, June 1st from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday, June 2nd from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Harvey loved Deer Hunting and Nascar. He was a hard worker and enjoyed helping others.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shelia Barnes; son, Shane Barnes (Adrienne); grandchildren, Madison Leigh Barnes and Mason Carter Barnes; siblings, JW Barnes, Joan Owenby, Sherry Taylor and Don Barnes; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
