Gail Thomas Baxley, Marion
Gail Thomas Baxley, 63, of Marion, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at Reedy Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Reedy Creek Cemetery, directed by Smith-Collins Funeral Home.

She was born in Marion County, April 19, 1937, daughter of Mrs. Lettie Smith Thomas of Rains, and the late Mr. Cecil Webb Thomas.

Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Nancy B. (Jimmy) Jordan of Marion, and Mrs. Vicki B. (Billy) Holt of Greenville; her children, Mrs. Regina (Matt) Richardson of Marion, Mr. Michael Baxley of Marion, and Miss Michelle Baxley of Lake View; her grandchildren, Jamon and Rebecca Jordan of Marion, and Will and Hannah Holt of Greenville; and her husband of nearly 40 years, Mr. Warner Baxley.

Also surviving Mrs. Baxley are her two brothers, Mr. Wayne Thomas of Marion, and Mr. Tim Thomas of Mullins; and a sister, Mrs. Peggy Sutcliffe of Orangeburg.

Mrs. Baxley was a faithful and lifelong member of Reedy Creek Baptist Church, and a loving and dear friend to all whose lives she touched.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Smith-Collins Funeral Home.
