Thomas W. Swafford, Jr., 65, died May 27, 2012, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born Nov. 22, 1946, in Anthony, to Thomas W. and Margaret L. (Carden) Swafford. He was a 1964 graduate of Hutchinson High School and a member of First Christian Church. He served in the United States Army from 1966-1969. Tom was a machinist/tester for Cessna-Eaton Corporation and a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aero Space Workers.
Survivors include: his daughter, Lacy Stucky and husband Jeremy; mother, Margaret Swafford; two grandchildren, Bethany and Cody Stucky; two sisters, Sandy White and husband Ed and Bonnie Tapia and husband Mike; two nieces, Jennifer White and Danielle Bustos and husband Daniel; nephew, Jeff White and wife Caroline; several aunts, uncles, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Thomas W. Swafford, Sr.; daughter, Lindsay Swafford and son, Clinton Thomas Swafford.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Jim Bell officiating. Inurnment will be in North Inman Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.
