Viola M. Wolfe, 91, died Sept. 5 at the Ness County Long Term Care in Ness City. She was born July 26, 1915, on a farm in rural Ness County, the daughter of Henry and Lydia Brehem Stieben. She married Harry W. Wolfe on March 22, 1934, at Bazine. He preceded her in death. She was a cook at Ness City High School for many years. Mrs. Wolfe was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Naomi Circle, and was a Thrift Shop volunteer, all in Ness City.

Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Griffiths, Topeka; a brother, Carl Stieben, Bazine; two sisters, Elnora Yaeger, Ness City, and LaVone Schweitzer Erb, Boulder, Colo.; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by sons Valoris Dean and Loren Keith Wolfe, two brothers, Bill Stieben and Lloyd Stieben; and three sisters, Clara Rein, Alma Byfield and Leona Schlegel. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Harlan Nonhoff officiating. Burial will be in the Bazine Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Women, Ness City.

NESS CITY — Harry W. Wolfe, 62, died Monday at
Hadley Medical Center, Hays.

Born Sept. 23, 1912, at Alexander, he married
Viola Stieben, March 22, 1934, at Bazine.

He was a farmer and lived here most of his life.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church;
I.O.O.F.; Bazine Coop Board; ASandSC.

Survivors are the widow; son: Loren, Scotts
Bluff, Neb.; daughter: Mrs. Charles
Griffiths, Topeka; brothers: Elmer, Colorado
Springs, Colo.; Paul, Hillsboro, Ore.;
Clarence, Ness City; Walter, Portland, Ore.;
sisters: Mrs. Carl Stiebens, Brownell; Mrs.
Dean Barricklow, Ness City; three grandchildren.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the
church; Rev. Kersenbrock. Burial will be
in Bazine Cemetery, Bazine. Fitzgerald Funeral
Home in charge of arragements.
