DORRANCE - Reuben Galliart, Dorrance, 94, died January 2, 1997, in Wilson Nursing Center, Wilson. He was born December 15, 1902, in Russell County near Dorrance, the son of Adam and Anna Herbe Galliart, and married Leah HERBEL on September 19, 1926, at Lucas. She died November 7,1980. A lifetime Dorrance area resident, he had been a farmer and stockman. He was retired from active farming but maintained ownership interest in his family farm. He was associated with the First Lutheran Church, Dorrance.

Survivors include a son, Dale, Orion, IL; and four grandchildren and three gt. grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyene Walker Heriman, and three sisters, Bertha Stoppel, Alvina Copeland and Molly Jones.

The funeral was Tues. Jan. 7, at the First Lutheran Church, Dorrance, Sister Diane Wagner officiating. Burial was in the Dorrance City Cem. Pohlman's Murtuary, Russell, was in charge of arrangments. Memorials may be made to the church.
