Mr Copenhaver was born in Starke county, Ohio, a son of Mr and Mrs David Copenhaver. He had been a resident of Goshen for 22 years, coming here from Jackson township.
Surviving are his wife, Lydia, two sons, Lawrence and Howard, both of Goshen; four daughters, Mrs George Fay, of north of Elkhart; Mrs Aaron Cripe, Mrs Bert Quinlan, and Mrs Clarence McCrory, of Goshen; 31 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Wesley Copenhaver of South Bend; and Ira Copenhaver, of Dunlap; and two sisters, Mrs L S Reed, of Dunlap; and Mrs Emma Mitchell, of Mendon, Mich.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00.
