Funeral services for Mrs. Opal P. Snyder, 80, of
Bossier City were held at 2:30 p.m. August 22, at
Rose-neath's Bossier Chapel with the Rev. J . W.
Joiner, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church at Oak
Grove, officiating. Assisting was Dr. Jimmy Tharpe
of Baptist Tabernacle. Burial was at Lane Cemetery in Sibley.
Mrs. Snyder died August 21 at Doctors Hospital in
Shreveport following a lengthy illness. A native of
Prescott, Ark., she had been a resident of Bossier City for the past 12 years. She was a retired sales lady
with J.C. Penney & Co. and a member of Airline Baptist
Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Iva J. Snyder.
Survivors are her son Mr. Leon H. Snyder of
Sibley; two daughters, Mrs. Jeanne Muriot of Horsham,
Pa ., Mrs. Frances Lary of Bossier City: one sister Fern Hollenshead of Homer; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
