This was my grandfather. Although he passed away before I was born, I have heard some of the stories of his life. He lived in Fort Smith, Arkansas, was married to my grandmother, Mable Rose Prince. Together they both worked at the Coney Island Hot Dog stand in Fort Smith, one in the day and the other in the evening shift. Grandpa was a very slight man and also a devout Christian.
It has been brought to my attention that there appears to be a discrepancy on the birth-date and birth-year of Carl Tatum Prince.
As you can see, his grave marker has his birth date as Mar. 14, 1893 but, through a couple of researchers, it seems the Social Security Death Index shows that Carl was born Nov. 15, 1901 in Sharp Co. and the 1940 census reports Carl as 43 and Mable as 39.
Once I find out for sure I will change his birth date on this Memorial to reflect this correction.
