Mrs. Myrtie Ashford
JONESBORO - Mrs. Myrtie Lee Ashford, 81, of Eros, died Tuesday in the West Monroe Guest House after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Eros Pentecostal Church with the Revs. I. L. Bailey, Carl Austin and W. E. Goldman officiating. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
Survivors include one son, Grady Bates of West Monroe; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Flanagan of Chatham, Mrs. Inez Aswell of Eros and Mrs. Juanita Steele of Fort Worth, Tex.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Paulene Penix of Fort Worth, Tex.; one brother, Charlie Johnston of Junction City, Ark.; four half-sisters; one half-brother; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
