Clarence Edward Stout seventy-three years old, died Tuesday May 25th. Death occurred while he was working in his garden at the rear of his residence in O & M Avenue. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 10 o'clock Friday morning conducted by the Rev. L. H. Listenberger, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene. Burial will take place in Hillcrest Cemetery.

He had been engaged in the shoe repairing business in North Vernon for fourty years. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Luella Stout, and one son, Clarence Edward Jr., at home; a son Floyd, at Indianapolis; and four daughters, Mrs. Virginia Steinard, of Connersville; Mrs. Dorothy Conner, of Bunker Hill; Mrs. Minnie Clark and Mrs. Letha Myers, of Greensburg. A sister and brother also survive, Mrs. Flora Sampson, of North Vernon and Joseph Stout of Fleming.
