Mrs. Loy Elizabeth Lindsey, 90, of Deering, died Aug. 19, 1993 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 4, 1902 in Pontotoc County, Miss., she was the daughter of George and Penetta Salmon Turner. A member of the Randolph (Miss.) Baptist Church, she was the widow of James Thelma Lindsey.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Tidwell of Deering and Betty Ward of Blytheville; A brother, O.H. Turner of Pontotoc; Three grandchildren, Kay Tidwell of Nashville and Mark and Keith Ward, both of Deering; And five great-grandchildren, Paul Phillips of Dyersburg, Karessa Nathan, Tela and Beth Ward, all of Deering.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Services were Aug. 22 at the Baldwin Funeral Home chapel in Pontotoc, the Rev. Jimmy Grubbs and the Rev. Haskell Gillespie officiating, with burial at Salmon Cemetery in Randolph.
