Casketbearers will be Tom Hove, Lloyd Enget, Newell Breding, Clarence Breding, Ted Albertson and Leslie Johnson.
Mr. Sellie was born near Doran, Minn., Nov. 5, 1899. At an early age, he moved with his parents to the Powers Lake area where they farmed. He married lda Hove at the Hove farm near Powers Lake, Oct. 28, 1922. They lived on a farm south of Powers Lake and later moved in to Powers Lake. Mr. Sellie worked for a time at his father's automobile dealership. Then he and his wife worked at the Hove Cash Store for several years, eventually starting their own business. They owned and operated the Super Value Store in Powers Lake for 15 years. Then they operated a dry goods store, retiring in 1972. Mrs. Sellie died in 1975.
He was a member, trustee and financial secretary of Bethel Baptist Church, and of the Powers Lake Community Club and Park Board. He helped organize the Powers Lake Senior Citizens Club, and since 1973, had been a member of the club's board. He also was instrumental in the development of Smishek Lake north of Powers Lake as a fishing resort, as part of the Burke County Conservation Commission Receational Project.
Since last May, he had lived at Mountrail Bethel Home in Stanley.
He is survived by a brother, Earl, Mesa, Ariz., and a sister, Mrs. Esther McFeeley, Seattle.
