MRS HENRIETTA S ABRAHIMS
Widow of Samuel Abrahims of Altoona, died of paralysis at 3:45 o'clock Monday afternoon at her home in Carlisle. Her death was rather sudden and unexpected and the news of her demise was a shock to her many friends in this city. Deceased was born August 26, 1833. She was married to Samuel Abrahims on March 1, 1855. He preceded her to the grave eight years ago. She was a resident of the city for a number of years, but some time after the death of her husband removed to Carlisle, where she had since resided. While a resident here she was an active member of the First Lutheran church and was known and esteemed in a wide circle of friends. She is survived by four children -- George Z of Buena Vista, Va.; Miss Mary R of Carlisle; Mrs Annie R, wife of L W Strounk of Lewisburg; Samuel R of Washington, Pa.; also by three brothers and one sister -- George Shrom, editor of the Newport Ledger; William and Dr Joseph Shrom of Carlisle, and Mrs Alice Cameron of Altoona. The funeral took place this afternoon, interment being made in Carlisle.
