Clara A. Huffman, 93, of Sunnyside, entered into rest on June 23, 2010 at Prosser Memorial Hospital, Prosser WA. She was born on Feb,. 7, 1917 in Broselely, Missouri to Elmer and Irene (Guess) Allen. She was their first of 13 children.

In the mid 1930's Clara and her family traveled to Oregon in a Model A pickup and settled in Coquille.

Clara and her first husband lived in Redmond, Or, where she worked in the potato packing industry. Clara and Dale Huffman were married in 1960. They made their home in Redmond for a time. They moved to Prosser in 1962 and then to Sunnyside in 1964 where Dale worked for the phone company and raised cattle, and Clara was a homemaker. Clara loved the outdoors and fishing. She was a hard worker and her home was meticulous. She enjoyed gardening and canning, and was happiest when she was busy. She also loved spending time and visiting with family and close friends.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale in 1994; her fomer husband, Everett Kidd; her brothers, Alfred, Willis, Lossie, Arthur, Earl and Melvin; her sisters, Flossie, Gerturde and Elise; her beloved daughter, Altha Langholz; andher stepdaughter, Joyce Shepard.

She is survived by her son, Norman Kidd, and his wife, Blanche; six grandchildren, lee Kidd of Richland, Shawn Kidd of Sunnyside, Brenda Clare and her husband Brian of Prosser, Kimberly Kidd of Puyallup, David Langholz of Oregon, and Debra Lehman and her husband Stoney of Sunnyside; and five great-grandchildren, Bradley Clarke andhis wife KayLeigh, Calvin Clarke, Matthew Clarke, Colette Kidd, Alexia Kidd and Maelynn Lehman; one great-great-grandson, Braden Clarke; her sister, Betty Stranger of Medford, Oregon; her brother, Clarence Allen of Butte Falls, Oregon; her sister, Mary Marie Rice of Oregon and stepdaughter, Greta Gordon.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on July 10, 2010 at 1p.m. at Prosser Community Church, Prosser WA. Prosser Funeral Home and Crematory is handling the arrangements.
