Data from Steinweiler, Germany in the Speyer Archives.
Daniel LaVerre (Ferree) is thought to have been born 10 Mar 1647 in Picardy, France and he and Marie had vineyards in Steinweiler, Germany. He was NOT a silk merchant. The Ferree family has records of his time in Steinweiler which is in the middle of the vineyards and NO silk merchants. Daniel married Marie Warenbuer. Their home and business were located in Steinweiler, Germany. I have a copy of their 1681 deed record in Steinweiler. The Ferree family has just returned from a trip to Steinweiler, Germany.
Records found in Germany in the second half of 2023 have shown that Daniel Ferree and wife Maria Warenbuer were in Germany earlier than presently documented (1681) on this profile and that Daniel had vineyards in the wine-making region. Whether these new finds directly tie Maria and Daniel to the family surnames found in Steinweiler in 1664 and 1678 is not yet known. The documents are being made available sometime in February 2024. Now I have seen this records for is not been download as of now
