J.P. Cobb, 88, died at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Owensboro-Daviess County hospital, following several weeks illness. Mr. Cobb is a native of Rumsey, KY. He had lived in Owensboro for eight years.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Ethel Cornell and Mrs. Mary Pendley, Owensboro, Mrs. Lulu Tucker and Mrs. Della Tomes Rumsey, and Miss Laura Cobb Evansville; five sons, Clyde H. Cobb Montrose Colo., Guy Cobb Detroit, Bun Cobb, Calhoun, Omar Cobb and Lester Cobb Rumsey.
The body is at the Muster Funeral home, Calhoun.
The funeral will be conducted at 11. a.m. Monday in the Calhoun Holiness church, the Rev. L. E. Hill officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun cemetery.
