Died at Acworth, Ga., June 6, 1864.

He was a recruit for the 85th Indiana Infantry, Company D from Clinton, Indiana. He mustered in on January 5, 1864, and died at Acworth, Georgia. It is unclear if he died as a result of wounds received during battle or disease.

I did not find a grave for these men of the 149th New York who died of wounds from the battle at Dallas, Ga.:

EDWARDS, CHARLES.—Age, 20 years. Enlisted, April 21,1864, at Van Buren, to serve three years; mustered in as private, Co. K, April 25, 1864; died of wounds received in action, May 25, 1864, in hospital at Dallas, Ga.

SHANE, JOHN.—Age, 23 years. Enlisted, August 30, 1862, atSyracuse, to serve three years; mustered in as private, Co. B, September 18, 1862; died in field hospital of wounds received in action, May 27, 1864, at Dallas, Ga.
