Mrs. Ida Belle Underwood, 36 years old, wife of Lee Underwood, died at her home near Attilla, Larue County, Monday morning at 6 o'clock. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the Bethel Baptist Church by Rev. L. B. Cantrell and burial was in the Bethel Cemetery. She was the daughter of Mrs. James Bray and the late James Bray and was born in Larue County on December 25, 1904. She was united in marriage to Lee Underwood, March 1, 1930. She made profession of faith in Christ 22 years ago and united with the Level Wood Methodist Church. Besides husband, Lee Underwood, she is survived by four sons: James Paul, Richard D., Darrell E., and Thomas Lee Underwood; two daughters, Virginia Louise and Lillie Ellen Underwood; her mother, Mrs. James Bray; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Sprowles; four brothers, Thomas Bray, Larue County, Herlie Bray, Ill., Edmon Bray, Ill., Richard Bray, Michigan. Pallbearers were: Paul Beavers, Lannie Skaggs, Charlie Shofner, Tinley Underwood, Herbert Hash, Fred Thompson, and Robert Grimes. Flower girls were: Rena Sprowles, Ruby Scott, Evelyn Underwood, Hazel Cash, Nellie Shofner, and Mary Vernon.
