MEBANE - Mr. Larry James Poole, 62, of 5407 Lynch Store Road, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 27, 1998, at his home after a sudden illness.
A native of Orange County, he was the husband of Mrs. Patricia 'Pat' Ann Oliver Poole, who survives, and the son of Mr. Charles T. Poole and Mrs. Addie Broach Poole, both deceased. He was a retired farmer and a retired employee of Foust Fuels.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include two daughters, Mrs. Cindy Winchester of Kannapolis and Mrs. Carol Williams of Mebane; a son, Mr. Brent Poole of the home; two sisters, Miss Juanita Poole of Durham and Mrs. Frances Leonard of High Point; three brothers, Mr. Wilbur Poole of Cedar Grove, Mr. Hassell Poole of Burlington and Mr. R.B. Poole of Durham; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Zion Christian Church by the Rev. Donald Thompson. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 6:30 to 8:30 this evening, and at other times at the home.
