Durham, North Carolina - Reginald "RB" Poole, 91, passed away Wednesday, March 24th at his residence in Durham. Mr. Poole was born in Mebane, NC to the late C.T. and Addie Broach Poole.
Mr. Poole worked most of his career as an electrician for, what was formally known as Modern Electric Company, and retired as the facility manager of, what was formally known as McPherson Hospital.
Mr. Poole was preceded in death by his first wife, Annette Poole, his daughter Linda Carol Poole and nine siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Poole (Richard); his son Bryant Poole (Kathy); and granddaughters, Whitney and Megan Poole. Other survivors include his wife Patsy Thorne, and her children James, Patricia and Melinda, and their families.
Mr. Poole's passions included square dancing, traveling the world, and spending time with his family and friends. He was an active member of Mt. Sylvan United Methodist Church in Durham. A memorial service will be held at the Rose of Sharon Baptist Church in Durham on April 10, 2021. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., with the service following at 2:00 p.m.
