Walter William Haseleu was born on August 18, 1925 in Litchville, ND the son of Arthur and Marie (Alber) Haseleu. He attended Prairie School #4 near Litchville. Following his schooling, he began his farming career. On April 15, 1943, he married Carrie Arzelle Olson. They made their home on a farm near Litchville in Prairie Township and farmed there until retiring in 1994. Arzelle entered the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City, ND in 1994 and she passed away in June of 2000. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Litchville. Walter is survived by his daughters, Judith (Gayron) Peterson of Valley City and Annette (James) Croves of Casselton, North Dakota; grandchildren Kirk and Kari Peterson and Morgan and Britten Croves; sisters, Alice (Nels) Christiansen of Valley City and Dorothy (Frank) Rief of Waconia, Minnesota; and a special friend, Avis Lenssen, Litchville. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Filey Neuman; brothers, Minard, Leonard, and Harold Haseleu; and an infant sister
