Stockbridge – Miss Katherine Schaefer died at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac, Sunday evening. She was born in Kloten April 12, 1869, and later lived in Stockbridge village, in what is now the Golmgefsky home. She left here in 1899 for Milwaukee where she spent several years. Later she lived in Omaha, Neb., for a time and from there went to North Dakota to live with her brother, Joe Schaefer, who died ten years ago.

About a year ago she returned here and lived in the home of her brother, August Schaefer, and after his death, continued there with her nieces and nephews until her recent illness made it necessary to go the hospital.

She is the last member of her family and her only survivors are a large number of nieces and nephews of whom Mrs. John Birk of Stockbridge village is one. The funeral was held Thursday from St. Elizabeth church, Kloten, to the Kloten cemetery where her parents are buried.
