Mrs. Martin was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Lumpkins of this city, and in addition to her parents is survived by her husband and one child, a small son named Howard. She also is survived by a brother, Gray Lumpkins of Hayti, and three sisters, Mrs. Paul Spaulding of St. Louis, Mrs. Rosella Atkins and Mrs. Vera Martin of this city.
She was a member of the local Methodist church and of the Eastern Star chapter here and in these organizations and among neighbors and acquaintances she had many friends by whom she was highly esteemed. As this is written funeral arrangements have not been completed, though no doubt will be made known soon.
The Democrat-Argus extends sympathy to members of the family who are thus deprived of the companionship of their beloved one at so untimely a period in her existence.
