"John Wright Coulter died at 9:55 o'clock last night at the home of a son, Hugh J. Coulter, near Excello, following a lingering illness. Mr. Coulter, a long-time resident if the Excello vicinity, was 95 years, 3 months and 10 days old. He was the grandfather of Mrs. R. Clyde Foster, formerly of Moberly.
Funeral services will be held in the Mt. Salem Church, south of Excello, at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Oscar Rush." Moberly Monitor-Index, June 15, 1944
