Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at T.L. Jones Memorial United Methodist Church, 7970 Redwood Highway, Wilderville, with the Rev. Robert A. Ledden officiating. Chapel of the Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Nov. 30, 1914, at Wolf Point, Mont. He and his family moved to Grants Pass in 1920. From 1929 to 1932 he served with the National Guard.
He was in the California Conservation Corps. During World War II, he served with the Army Air Corps as a staff sergeant from October 1941 to August 1945, in which he earned a Good Conduct medal, the American Defense Service medal, the American Theater Service ribbon, and the European, Africa, Middle Eastern Service ribbon. He worked for many years as a heavy duty mechanic and equipment operator, in which he was involved in road construction throughout Northern California. After retiring from the Operating Engineers, he returned to the Rogue Valley.
Pusch enjoyed selling at a local flea market, fishing, numerous mechanical projects and gardening. He especially enjoyed rose gardening.
His memberships included the Operating Engineers, the National Rifle Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Grange.
Survivors include his wife, Mary D. Pusch; two stepdaughters, Pat Sauer of Grants Pass and Charlotte Close of Pennsylvania; four daughters, Randi Lenhart, Elizabeth Pusch, and Audrey Pusch, all of Grants Pass, and Sandra Lovelace of Crescent City, Calif.; three sons, Bill Pusch of Winston, Jerry Pusch of Redding, Calif., and Jim Pusch of Crescent City, Calif.; a brother, Keith Pusch of Klamath Falls; five sisters, Joan Stokem of Grants Pass, Diane Cooke of McKinleyville, Calif., Dorothy Low and Murtle Badley, both of Rogue River, and Ruth Gibson of Tulelake, Calif.; 26 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his previous wife, Alice Marene, and a stepson, Charles Johnson.
