Paul E. (Bunyon) Beamer, 82, of Biglerville, died Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Gettysburg Hospital. He was born Sunday, Oct. 13, 1929 in Menallen Township, Adams County, the son of the late Wilbert H. Beamer and Mary E. (Kuhn) McCauslin.

Paul retired from Rice Fruit Company, after 23 years of service. Prior to Rice's, he was self-employed as a logger. He was a member of Wenksville United Methodist Church, Buchanan Valley Rod and Gun Club, Upper Adams Fish & Game, and a life member of Green Springs Rod & Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Virgie M. (Laughman) Beamer. He is also survived by three daughters: Barbara A. Baker and husband Wayne of Orrtanna, Diane L. VanMetre of Biglerville, Sharon K. and husband Eddie Pritt of Orrtanna; a son, Michael P. and wife Jennifer Beamer of Biglerville; six grandchildren: Michael Paul Beamer, Jr., Ashley Nichole Beamer, DJ VanMetre, Joshua James VanMetre, Tanya Mae VanMetre, Joshua Allen Pritt and six great-grandchildren: Desiree Renee and Bradley James, Nobalean Mae and Miley Rose, Brian Keith and Nevaeh Star and a sister, Marvel Drybread He was preceded in death by three sisters: Grace Black, Beulah Kime, and Mazie Beamer and three brothers: Charles, Donald and Guy Beamer; two half-brothers: William and James McCauslin, and a half-sister, Tressie Rhoads; two granddaughters: Jessica A. Pritt and Sonya E. VanMetre.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 17 at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 South Main Street, Bendersville with Pastor Todd McCauslin officiating.

Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 16 from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association , 417 Phoenix Drive, Suite A, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Friends may express online condolences at www.DuganFH.com .
