Moses & his parents immigrated to Michigan before 1879. The 1879 Detroit City Directory lists Louis Lorion occupation, carpenter; Moses is also listed in this dirctory as a laborer. From 1881 until 1882 Louis and Moses were both living in Bay City. Moses' occupation being that of a molder, Louis was working as a laborer.
After 1884 both Louis and Moses were back in Detroit. Moses continued his work as a molder. It seems that father and son were very close, as they spent their entire lives living and working together.
On May 14, 1889 Moses married Mary Ruloff. She was born February 12, 1856 in Racine, Wisconsin. Together they had five children, Ermina Catherine, Henry Aloysuis, Vincent Charles, Margaret, and Evelyn.
