In 1980, Luella received a plaque from District 7 Republic Party for the many years of loyal dedicated servcice to the Republican Party in Fremont County and Idaho. She had served two years as Fremont County committeewoman to the state, 4 1/2 years as president of the Federated Republican Woman of Idaho, was assistant county chairman for the Republican party, state president of the American Legion Auxiliary and director of the Girls State Program, state president of Soil Conservation Women, County Farm Bureau Women's president, president of the County American Cancer Society and was the instigator in starting the Girls State Program in 1947.
