---Killed at the Battle of Williamsburg, VA---

George Pegar Rich, brother of Isaac Rich who lived next door to Whipple family on now ST Rte 13 Pineville. He is buried in Pineville Cemetery, 1840-1862 . George killed by a ball at Battle of the Wilderness and was buried on battlefield at first. He was son of Reuben & Julia Jaquith Rich of Pineville. He served in the 37th NY Infantry Co. I and enlisted May 3, 1861
