She received The Teacher of the Year title twice by the National Office Management Association of Harrisburg area, twice by the editorial staff of the Harristbury Patriot News. Served as a WWII Greene County Airplane spotter for the Pittsburgh area. Fist women to serve on the Columbia County Land Preservation Board. She is listed as one of the two orginial producers for the Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble.
