Funeral services for Dorothy Wesson, 78, of Sulphur Springs were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 4, in Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Frank Kuhl officiating. Burial followed in Brashear Cemetery with Jeremy Wesson, James Barina, Mark Chatterly, Bailey Wilcoxin, Scott Wesson, Jimmy Cannon, Mike Comer, Brent Green and Lewis Potter serving as pallbearers.

She died at 5 a.m. Thursday, March 1, in Gainesville Memorial Hospital in Gainesville.

She was born on Feb. 22, 1923, in Sulphur Springs, to John E. and Jenny Bunch King. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Jean Barina of Gun Barrel City, Pat Honeycutt of Char lotte, N.C., Donna Manual of Denton, Barbara Flowers, Debbie Carlisle and Charlotte Vincent, all of Gainesville; two sons, Gary Kemp of Sulphur Springs and Donald Wesson of Yantis; Five sisters, Marie Skaggs of Gainesville, Christine Flanagan, Louise Cannon, Judy Baldwin and Mildred King, all of Sulphur Springs; one brother, Clarence Ray King of Sulphur Springs; 21 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alma Archer and Wilma King; and three brothers, Elvis, J.D. and Lester Wayne King.
