Funeral services for Elma Archer, 70, 301 Oak Ave. in Sulphur Springs, are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday in Murray-Orwosky Chapel with the Rev. Wendell Swelling officiating. Burial will be in Brashear Cemetery following the services with six grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Archer died Saturday at 10:40 p.m. in Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was bom Sept. 23, 1914, in Hopkins County, the daughter of John and Jennie Bunch King. She married Floyd Archer. He preceded her in death in 1978.

She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Clyde E. Shreves of Copeville, Clarence E. Shreves of Sulphur Springs and William L. Harrison of Spencerville, Ohio; one daughter, Mary Elaine Branch of Comanche; two brothers, Clarence Ray King of Sulphur Springs and Elvis King of Arlington; six sisters, Christine Flanagan, Dorothy Wesson, Mary Louise Cannon, Mildred King, all of Sulphur Springs, Geneva May Adams and Marie Skaggs, both of Dallas; 32 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
