MALDEN -- Genevieve Babcock, 84, died May 7, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Malden.
Born Nov. 7, 1927, in Swift, to the late Earl and Bertha Lee Williams Ledbetter, she was a member of the Second General Baptist Church in Malden.

On Oct. 28, 1941, in Caruthersville, she married Ira Babcock who preceded her in death on March 2, 2011.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Orville Babcock, three brothers, Elvis Robertson, Edward Ledbetter and Harvey Ledbetter, and one sister, Beatrice Brooks.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Linda Babcock of St. Ann; one daughter-in-law, Linda Faye Babcock of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister, Marie Tarpley of Caruthersville; and four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden with the Rev. James Gore officiating.

Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
