The funeral of Jacob Ernst, who died of dropsy and consumption at his home on Monday at 3 AM, aged about 63 years, will take place from his late residence today at 10 AM. Internment at New Bethel Cemetery Rev O.B. Sheirer officiating.
Deceased was born in Albany Twp. He lived on a small farm near Kempton. He was always liked, was always satisfied with whatever work he had to do. He was married to Sarah Greenawald. The couple was blessed with 12 children one of whom preceeded the father in death. The widow and the following children survive: Wallace, Cressona; Lewis,Orwigsburg; James, Palo Alto; Thomas, McKeansburg;William, Trexler;Mrs.Oscar Dunkle, Orwigsburg; Mrs. Walter Lutz , Kempton; Mrs. Oscar Miller, Kempton; Mrs' George Howerter, Steinsville; Sarah at home.
The following brothers all of Reading also survive Amandus, George, Charles, and Daniel.
