Viola was the daughter of James Franklin Beanblossom and Dora Bell Cross, she was married to Baxter Ray Tussey. They had 2 known children Peggy Beck Beanblossom and Betty Wright Beanblossom.

Viola Victoria Beanblossom Tussey, 94, died Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Abbotts Creek Care & Rehabilitation Center.

A funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Second Reformed United Church of Christ by the Rev. Dr. Joe Coltrane. Burial will be in Lexington City Cemetery.

The family will see friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Piedmont Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Mrs. Tussey was born Nov. 28, 1916, in Davidson County to James Franklin Beanblossom and Dora Bell Cross Beanblossom. She was a homemaker and member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ. Her husband, Baxter Ray Tussey, preceded her in death in 1989, as well as her daughter, Peggy Beck; her sisters, Myrtle Hedrick and Troy Beanblossom; and her brother, Doyle Beanblossom.

Mrs. Tussey is survived by her daughter, Betty Wright and husband Paul of Lexington; her grandchildren, Paula Bailey and husband Terry, Keith Wright and wife Kelly and Michelle Wright and husband Benji; her great-grandchildren, Brett Bailey, Megan Bailey, Katie Hartley and husband Jason and Abby Adamson and husband Tyler; and her great-great-grandchildren, Ava Jane Hartley and Annabelle Hartley.
