Hester Galbraith
IRON MOUNTAIN—Hester Galbraith, 90, of Park Ridge Homes, Iron Mountain, died Friday at Hyland Nursing Home in Iron Mountain.
Mrs. Galbraith was born Nov. 4, 1897 in Gladstone, Ill. She married Lynn Galbraith on Feb. 26, 1918, in Gladstone. They moved to Aurora in 1922, residing there until 1973, when they moved to Iron Mountain.
Mrs. Galbraith was a member of First Covenant Church and the Gideons Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, Joy and Bernice, and two brothers and five sisters.
She leaves two sons, Ray Dean Galbraith of Aurora and Jamie Galbraith of Iron Mountain; a daughter, Florence Frederick of Santa Rosa, Calif.; a sister, Veda Martin of Gladstone, Ill., and 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
Services were held today at the First Covenant Church, Rev. Richard Allnutt officiated.
Burial was in Cemetery Park.
A memorial has been established at First Covenant Church.
The Erickson-Rochon Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
