Only child of of Johannes Brinckerhoff and Sarah Brinckerhoff [Adriance]. Married Elizabeth Hegeman, daughter of Rem Hegeman, on Nov. 3, 1782 in Oyster Bay, LI, at the Dutch Reformed Church. Their children were: Elbert A, Sarah [m Abraham Snediker], Ida [m Isaac T Reeves], Eliza [m David Hendrickson], and Alleta [m Jason Beebe or Bute].
In 1797 he purchased, from the estate of his Uncle Jacob Adriance, farmland that is currently named the Queens County Farm Museum. Hendrcik died at the home previously owned by step-father. His Uncle Isaac Brinckerhoff is buried here too.
