Mrs. Emma V Rooker, 99. .formerly of 15 Main St., Tupper Lake, died at 6:40 a. m Monday in the Ogdensburg hospital, where she had been a patient since 1961. A memorial Mass was celebratedat 11 a. m Tuesday at Holy Name Church, and a prayer service was held at 7:.30 p m Tuesday at the Richer Funeral Home here. Interment was in Holy Name Cemetery at 2:30 p m today She was born at Redford Nov. 7, 1877, the daughter of Jerrv Amell and Margaret LaDue Amell, and was within six months of reaching the century mark. On August 28, 1900 she was married at Fort Edward to Ralph Rooker and they resided at Putnam and Hoosick Falls, and operated a farm at Schroon Lake before coming to Tupper Lake in 1943, at which time Mr. Rooker accepted an appointmentas caretaker at Big Wolf Park. He was killed by the accidental discharge of his own rifle at Big Wolf on Oct 30, 1948 Surviving are one sister, Mrs Jane Charbormeau of Saranac Lake, and sever al nieces and nephews.
