William E. LaBarge, 93. of 53 Washington St., a Tupper Lake resident for more than 60 years, died at 10:50 a. m. Friday at Mercy General Hospital, where he had been a patient since April 12th. The funeral was at 9 a. m. Monday at Holy Name Church, and interment was in Holy Name Cemetery here. He was born at Forest, N. Y., Dec. 17, 1874, the son of Antoine and Angelique Forkey LaBarge, and was married at Derrick June 26, 1905, to Isabelle Amell. They moved to Tupper Lake soon after and the family has since resided here. Mr. LaBarge worked on lumbering jobs in this area as a young man, and was employed for more than 20 years by the Big Wolf Corp., retiring at 75. Mrs. LaBarge died here Oct. 25. 1959. Surviving are seven daughters: Mrs. Earl (Eva) Savage, Mrs. Edna Degone and Mrs. Walter (Jeannette) Bujold, all of Tuppar Lake; Mrs. Joseph (Lena) Villeneuve of Rlchville; Mrs. James (Rita) Merchant of Brattleboro,Vt.; Mrs. Ralph (Emmaline) Schiavone of Norwood, and Mrs. Minnie Paiement of Syracuse; four sons: Napoleon and Leon LaBarge, Syracuse: Henry, of Plattsburgh. and Roland LaBarge, Tupper Lake; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Wood of Ottawa, Ont.; 46 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren.
