Services for James Ralph Chapman, 62, of 516 Brentwood in Effingham will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham with the Rev. Russell Stark officiating.
Burial will be in Oakridege Cemeter. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 4 to 9 p.m.
Mr Chapman was born in Jasper County on Sept 28, 1916, the son of Sie and Winnie Land Chapman. He was a steelworker and a World War 1 veteran.
His only survivor is a brother Earl Chapman of Granite City.
